Short description
Four friends gather at a villa with the intention of eating themselves to death.
What's left behind the scenes
- Andrea Ferreol landed the role by promising to gain 25 kg in two months. The actress's contract specified how much she would be paid for every kilogram gained. Under the supervision of director and screenwriter Marco Ferreri (who also suggested she dye her hair), she reached a weight of 85 kg, and upon completion of filming, the studio paid for her to join a weight-loss program.
- In the final scene in the garden, while Philippe (played by Philippe Noiret) is sitting on a bench, a poem by Dorothy Francis Gurney (1858-1932) can be seen on it. At one time, this poem could be found in many gardens.
