Kung Fu Panda 4

Po, the giant panda who has long served as the Dragon Warrior, is preparing to take on a new role as the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. Before he can step into that position, he must find and train someone to succeed him. He settles on Zhen, a fox whose skills are promising even if she is unenthusiastic about the arrangement. Their training is interrupted by the Chameleon, a sorceress who summons defeated villains from the spirit realm, forcing Po to defend everything he and his friends have learned.

The film is directed by Mike Mitchell, whose earlier features include Sky High, Shrek Forever After, Trolls and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. It is the fourth entry in the Kung Fu Panda series and the first in the franchise to be helmed by Mitchell. Jack Black returns as the voice of Po, joined by Awkwafina as Zhen, Viola Davis as the Chameleon and Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, with Bryan Cranston and James Hong also returning.

Made for a budget of 85 million dollars, the film took in 548 million dollars worldwide, a strong return on its production cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.3 from around 80,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7 from roughly 3,700 votes, indicating a moderate audience response. The critics' rating stands at 6.1 from 165 reviews, placing it close to the audience scores on both platforms rather than sharply above or below them.
