Sasquatch Sunset

Sasquatch Sunset follows a family of Sasquatches living deep in the forests of North America, possibly the last members of their elusive species. Over the course of a year, the shaggy creatures go about their daily lives, foraging, communicating and surviving together as a changing world closes in around them. Their quiet existence and their anonymity come under threat, setting them on a collision course with the modern civilization encroaching on their territory.

The film is a comedy with fantasy elements, directed by brothers David and Nathan Zellner, who previously made Damsel in 2018 and later directed Alpha Gang in 2026. David Zellner wrote the screenplay, and the cast features Riley Keough, Jesse Eisenberg, Nathan Zellner and Christophe Zajac-Denek, with Eisenberg also serving as a producer alongside Lars Knudsen and Nathan Zellner. The production involved 59 credited crew members across several companies.

Released in April 2024 with a runtime of 89 minutes, the film drew a critics' rating of 6.6 out of 10 from 148 reviews, while audiences were less enthusiastic: it holds a rating of 5.4 out of 10 on IMDb from around 6,200 votes and 5.6 out of 10 on TMDB from 111 votes.
