The First Day of My Life

Four strangers who feel they have reached the lowest point of their lives are approached by a mysterious man. He offers them a deal to spend one week observing the world from the outside to see how others would be affected by their absence. The group is given seven days to reconsider their desire to leave the world behind and decide if they can find a new reason to live.

This Italian fantasy drama was directed by Paolo Genovese, following his previous work including Perfect Strangers and The Place. The film stars Toni Servillo as the mysterious man, with a cast that includes Margherita Buy, Valerio Mastandrea, Sara Serraiocco, Gabriele Cristini, and Vittoria Puccini.
