Irish Wish

Maddie Kelly has long carried a torch for a man who is about to marry her closest friend. She sets those feelings aside to stand beside the bride at a wedding in Ireland. Days before the ceremony, she makes an impulsive wish for true love at an ancient stone, and her life shifts into an altered version of itself. What looks like the answer to her wish soon leaves her questioning whether the person she has wanted all along is really the one she belongs with.

Irish Wish is a comedy with fantasy and romance elements, released in March 2024 and running 94 minutes. It was directed by Janeen Damian, the second of three features she has made, following Falling for Christmas in 2022 and preceding The Wrong Paris in 2025. Lindsay Lohan plays Maddie, heading a cast of 24 credited performers that includes Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan and Jacinta Mulcahy. Kirsten Hansen wrote the screenplay, and the production was split between Ireland and the United States.

The film has drawn modest scores from viewers, sitting at 5.3 out of 10 on IMDb from around 23,000 votes and 6.1 out of 10 on TMDB from far fewer, a gap that suggests a small, more favourable group of viewers against a broader and more mixed response.
