Street Flow 2

Set in a Paris suburb, Street Flow 2 picks up with the Traoré brothers as they keep trying to break out of a pattern of betrayal, revenge and violence. Demba, who came close to dying, wants to leave his desire for vengeance behind and change his life. The youngest, Noumouké, is drawn into clashes between rival neighbourhood gangs and risks sliding further into crime, while the middle brother Soulaymaan, now taking his first steps as a lawyer, is torn between his convictions and his ambitions. The three unequal brothers are pushed back together and forced to face what lies ahead of them.

The film is a French drama directed by Leïla Sy and Alix Mathurin, who had previously made Street Flow in 2019. It follows that film in their shared filmography and was released on 27 September 2023, with Alix Mathurin also writing the screenplay and playing Demba. The cast includes Bakary Diombera as Noumouké, Jammeh Diangana as Soulaymaan, Sana Sri as Hakima, and Kadi Diarra and Krystel Roche as Khadijah and Djenaba respectively. It runs 98 minutes and was produced by Les Films Velvet and Srab Films.

Audience response has been modest. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 5.4 from 666 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.2 from 100 votes, suggesting a small and divided viewership rather than a broad consensus.
