Short description
Ewoks: The Battle for Endor is a 1985 television adventure film set on the forest moon of Endor, where a marauding army commanded by King Terak and the witch Charal attacks an Ewok village. The young human girl Cindel is left alone after her family is killed, and she flees into the woods with the Ewok Wicket. There they encounter Teek, a quick and mischievous creature, who leads them to the home of Noa, a human hermit whose ship crashed on the moon long ago, and who joins the two in opposing the marauders.
It was directed by Jim Wheat and Ken Wheat, who also wrote the screenplay with George Lucas, and produced by Thomas G. Smith for Lucasfilm Ltd. The cast includes Aubree Miller as Cindel, Warwick Davis as Wicket, Wilford Brimley as Noa, Siân Phillips as Charal and Carel Struycken as Terak, across a credited cast of 48. Made for about 5 million dollars, it followed the director's tenure on the Ewoks television films and runs 100 minutes.
Audience response has been modest, at 5.4 out of 10 on IMDb from around 12,000 votes and 5.4 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 368 votes, indicating a small and limited following.

- According to the encyclopedia on the official Star Wars website, Syndel later became a journalist on Coruscant and played an important role during the Yevec Crisis. She was the one who received the Plat Mallar recordings from Admiral Dreisen and shed light on the story of the sole survivor of the attack on Pollux. This was intended to draw the attention of the New Republic and the Senate, and Syndel succeeded.
