Beaconsfield

Beaconsfield is a drama about a 2006 mining collapse in Australia that trapped three men a kilometer beneath the surface. While one miner perished, two survivors with contrasting personalities spent 14 days confined in a tiny, dark metal cage. The story focuses on their physical and mental endurance and the difficult rescue operation that followed.

Directed by Glendyn Ivin, this production was the first of two films in the director's listed chronology, preceding Penguin Bloom.
