War

An FBI agent named Jack Crawford loses his partner and close friend to a killer known as Rogue, an assassin who vanishes after the attack. Crawford spends the following years trying to track him down, driven by a personal need for revenge rather than by procedure. When Rogue resurfaces three years later, his return sets off a violent struggle between Chinese and Japanese criminal organizations, and Crawford pushes his team into the middle of it in the hope of finally catching him. His judgment becomes increasingly clouded as he closes in.

The film is directed by Philip G. Atwell, whose earlier work consisted of The Up in Smoke Tour and The Turbo Charged Prelude for 2 Fast 2 Furious; War is the third feature he directed. Lee Anthony Smith and Gregory J. Bradley wrote the screenplay, and Steve Chasman, Christopher Petzel and Jim Thompson produced. Jet Li plays Rogue and Jason Statham plays Crawford, with John Lone, Devon Aoki, Luis Guzmán and Saul Rubinek in supporting roles. The cast runs to 54 credited performers and the crew to 202.

Made for about 25 million US dollars, the film took roughly 40 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.2 out of 10 from around 101,000 votes, while on TMDB it has 6.4 out of 10 from about 2,120 votes. A critics' rating of 4.1 out of 10 from 59 reviews places it well below the audience scores.
