Divinity

Two brothers arrive on a barren, decaying Earth with a plan to abduct Jaxxon Pierce, the man who controls production of a serum called Divinity. The drug promises eternal youth but has left society dependent on it and in decline. Jaxxon's father, the scientist Sterling Pierce, devoted his life to developing the substance; his son turned that work into a monopoly. A woman named Nikita becomes involved in the brothers' scheme, which moves toward a form of immortality different from the one the serum offers.

Eddie Alcazar directed and wrote the film, and produced it with Johnny Starke and Javier Lovato. It is his second feature as director, following an earlier film, and it runs 94 minutes across the fantasy, horror and science fiction genres. Stephen Dorff plays Jaxxon, with Scott Bakula as Sterling, Moisés Arias and Jason Genao as the brothers, Bella Thorne as Ziva and Emily Willis as Lynx. The film was released in October 2023.

Audience response has been modest: on IMDb it holds a rating of 5.2 from around 1,500 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.1 from a smaller pool of 47 votes. The two scores are close to each other, indicating a similar level of reception across both platforms. The film was produced in the United States by Divinity the Film and Sumerian Films.
