Brighter Days Ahead

This science fiction fantasy short follows an elderly woman named Peaches who returns to Brighter Days Inc. Her goal is to experience perfected versions of her past memories one last time before they are permanently erased. The story serves as a follow-up to the music video for We Can't Be Friends and draws inspiration from the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Released on March 28, 2025, the film was produced by Universal Pictures, The Lucky Bastards, and London Alley Entertainment. It marks the directorial debut of Ariana Grande, who also wrote the screenplay and starred as Peaches. This project is the second film in her directorial chronology, following we can't be friends and preceding petal. Co-director and co-writer Christian Breslauer began his directing career with this production before making Hate That I Made You Love Me and petal. The cast includes Edward Butera, Charlotte Sanchez, Rashawn Ross, Allen Marsh, and Jessica Jang, with a total of 32 credited actors and 42 crew members.
