White River

Set in Yanjiao, a town separated from Beijing by the White River, the story follows Yang Fan during a period of quarantine. While she focuses on domestic chores and following health regulations, her husband becomes preoccupied with voyeurism and a painting in their bedroom. The couple's relationship shifts when Yang Fan begins an affair with a mysterious restaurant waiter. Rather than experiencing conflict, the three individuals explore their desires together and eventually involve other people in their sexual encounters.

This drama was directed by Ma Xue, who previously directed Sonata of Wave in 2024. The screenplay was written by Ma Xue and Xu Weihao. The film features Tian Yuan in the lead role as Yang Fan, alongside Song Ningfeng, Xu Weihao, Zhang Wenmo, and Zuo Xiaoguang. Produced by Dreama Pictures and Yilu Partners, the project involved a credited crew of 42 people.
