A grieving woman has gone to a secluded forest, still unable to come to terms with the death of her young son. There she meets a man who at first seems to talk her out of ending her life, then attacks her. She wakes up restrained in his car; she manages to free herself, but he has already injected her with a paralysing drug. As her body gradually shuts down, she tries to get as far away from him as possible before she loses all control of her limbs.
The American horror thriller Don't Move was released in October 2024 and runs 92 minutes. It is the second feature directed by Adam Schindler, following Intruders (2015), and is co-directed by Brian Netto, from a screenplay by T.J. Cimfel and David White. Sam Raimi is among the producers, through Raimi Productions, alongside Capstone Studios and Hammerstone Studios. Kelsey Asbille plays Iris, with Finn Wittrock as Richard, and Moray Treadwell, Daniel Francis, Denis Kostadinov and Kate Nichols in supporting roles.
Reception has been moderate across the board. On IMDb the film holds 5.8 out of 10 from about 45,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 out of 10 from roughly a thousand votes, a smaller but slightly warmer sample. A critics' rating of 6.1 out of 10 from 51 reviews places professional opinion close to the audience average, suggesting a competent, modestly received genre exercise rather than a standout.
