Haunted Heart

A young woman named Alex moves to a remote Greek island to work as a waitress at a seaside restaurant. While she attracts the attention of a colleague named Enrico, she becomes enamored with Max, the restaurant's reclusive American manager. As their relationship develops, Enrico begins to find troubling evidence regarding Max's secretive history.

This Spanish romance thriller was directed by Fernando Trueba, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Rylend Grant. The film follows Trueba's previous work, including They Shot the Piano Player, and precedes his 2026 production, Bajañí. The cast features Matt Dillon in the role of Max, alongside Aida Folch as Alex and Juan Pablo Urrego as Enrico. Other cast members include Kika Georgiou, Polydoros Vogiatzis, and Vasilis Halakatevakis.
