Three British friends who have just finished school fly to a busy Mediterranean resort in Greece for a summer holiday meant to be the best of their lives. Tara, Skye and Em throw themselves into club nights, heavy drinking and encounters with the English people staying near them. For Tara, the trip also carries the hope of a first sexual experience, and the promise of freedom that comes with it. What begins as a rush of parties and new company turns into something harder to navigate, as the group's shared euphoria gives way to questions about sex, consent and how well the three of them know each other and themselves.
Molly Manning Walker wrote and directed the film, her first feature, with Ivana MacKinnon, Konstantinos Kontovrakis and Emily Leo producing. Mia McKenna-Bruce plays Tara, alongside Lara Peake as Skye, Enva Lewis as Em, Samuel Bottomley, Shaun Thomas and Laura Ambler. The drama runs 91 minutes and was made through Film4, the BFI, uMedia and Head Gear Films as a co-production between the United Kingdom, Greece, Belgium and France.
It performed modestly in cinemas, taking about 1 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.4 out of 10 from roughly 22,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.2 from 539 ratings. A critics' rating of 8.1 from 149 reviews places it well above those audience scores.
