Kiss the Future

This documentary examines the struggle of people living through the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War in the 1990s. It explores how art and music served as tools for activism and resistance against nationalism, helping the community maintain hope. The film follows the efforts of humanitarian worker Bill Carter, whose determination led the band U2 to bring international attention to the tragedy. Through accounts from figures such as Bono, U2 members, and former US President Bill Clinton, the narrative depicts a clandestine artistic community and culminates in a reunification concert held in September 1997.

Directed by Nenad Cicin-Sain and written by Bill Carter, the film was produced by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Ned O'Hanlon. This Irish and American production was released on February 23, 2024, with a runtime of 103 minutes. The cast features several individuals appearing as themselves, including Vesna Andree Zaimović, Senad Zaimović, Enes Zlatar, Alma Catal Hurem, Boris Šiber, and Srđan Đino Jevđević. The project was developed through a collaboration between production companies including Pearl Street Films, Artists Equity, Fifth Season, and Good Wolves Productions.
