Short description
A musician struggling with insomnia and the emotional aftermath of a breakup finds his stability crumbling during a world tour. Despite medical advice to rest, pressure from his manager leads him to perform in Los Angeles, where he suddenly loses his voice on stage. After fleeing the concert with a mysterious fan named Anima, he enters a surreal journey through distorted visions and deserted cities. This experience forces him to confront buried memories and hidden truths about his own identity.
Directed by Trey Edward Shults, this film follows his previous works Krisha, It Comes at Night, and Waves. Shults also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Abel Tesfaye and Reza Fahim. The cast features Abel Tesfaye in the lead role, supported by Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan, and Riley Keough.
Produced by Live Nation Productions and Manic Phase, the movie had a budget of 15 million USD but earned 8 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience and critical reception was generally low.
