In the Company of Women

Set during the summer of 1976, this drama follows Bea, a sixteen-year-old girl who joins a group of women advocating for feminist causes and the legalization of abortion. As she becomes involved in political activism, she develops a close relationship with Miren, an older girl from a wealthy family. This connection, combined with her commitment to the movement, creates a transformative experience that deeply affects Bea's inner world.

The film was directed by Sílvia Munt, appearing in her filmography after Gala and Mentiders, and before Grec 76. The cast features Alicia Falcó as Bea and Elena Tarrats as Miren, alongside Itziar Ituño, Itziar Aizpuru, Sara Barroeta, and Nagore Cenizo. Produced by Ander Sagardoy, the project was a joint production between Spain and France involving TVE, Filmax, EiTB, and ICEC.
