Grand Tour

Set in 1917, this adventure drama follows Edward, a British civil servant in Burma who abandons his fiancée, Molly, on the day she arrives for their wedding. As Edward travels across Asia to escape his commitments, he begins to reflect on the emptiness of his life. Meanwhile, Molly remains determined to marry him and finds amusement in his flight, pursuing him through various countries in a wide-ranging chase.

The film was directed by Miguel Gomes, following his previous work, Tabu. The screenplay was written by Telmo Churro, Maureen Fazendeiro, and Mariana Ricardo, with Filipa Reis serving as producer. The story stars Gonçalo Waddington as Edward and Crista Alfaiate as Molly, supported by a cast that includes Cláudio da Silva, Lang Khê Tran, Jorge Andrade, and João Pedro Vaz.
