Charlotte, One of Us

Charlotte, One of Us is a drama set in Trentino, where a woman named Charlotte lives in isolation with her father. Because of her mental impairment, she spends most of her time within her own imagination. When her father is hospitalized following a heart attack, her younger brother, Leo, returns to their village after being away for many years. Discovering that Charlotte wishes to leave her secluded life, Leo invites her to travel with him to Switzerland. The story follows their journey as they attempt to reconnect and navigate the challenges of their first trip together.

Directed by Rolando Colla, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Linda Olsansky, the film is a joint production between Italy and Switzerland. The cast features Linda Olsansky in the title role, alongside Miro Lorenzo Maurer as Leo and Vilmar Bieri as Charlotte's father. Other cast members include Jiří Mádl, Maria Rebecca Sautter, and Rian Büsching. The movie was released on March 28, 2025, with a total runtime of 117 minutes. It was produced by several companies, including SRG SSR, SRF, ARTE GEIE, and Peacock Film.
