In a near-future setting, Layla and Jack live on a remote cattle farm where they utilize biotechnology to try and save their failing business. As Jack works on alternative breeding processes, the couple's relationship suffers and Layla feels a growing distance from her son. The situation escalates when strange events occur on the property and Jack is injured in a mysterious attack. Suspecting that her husband is conducting dangerous scientific experiments, Layla begins to investigate an unsettling presence that threatens her safety and identity.

This Australian production was directed by Will Howarth and Tom McKeith, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Talia Zucker. The film stars Talia Zucker in multiple roles as Layla, alongside Ashley Zukerman as Jack and Daniel Ciurte as Young Toby.
