Twilight

Set in the rural forests of Hungary, this crime drama follows a once-respected detective tasked with finding a killer of children. The investigation leads the protagonist into a deep obsession characterized by despair and uncertainty, which persists even after he is removed from the case. Rather than a standard mystery, the story serves as a study of the human soul as the detective seeks the truth behind the crimes.

The film was directed by György Fehér, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Friedrich Dürrenmatt. This production followed Fehér's 1982 film, Moliére - A nők iskolája. The cast features Péter Haumann, János Derzsi, Judit Pogány, Gyula Pauer, Kati Lázár, and Miklós Székely B.

A joint production between Hungary and Switzerland, the movie was released in September 1990. It has been received positively by viewers, maintaining a 7.2 rating on IMDb based on 1,500 votes and a 7.1 rating on TMDB from 44 votes.
