Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told

Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told is a documentary that examines the history of a famous Atlanta street party. It traces the event's transformation from a small gathering for students at historically Black colleges and universities into a massive celebration during the 1980s and 1990s. The film explores how the party helped establish Atlanta as a significant cultural center and documents the eventual decline of the festivities.

Directed by P. Frank Williams and produced by Swirl Films and Mass Appeal, the film features a cast of 52 credited individuals. Participants include rapper and activist Killer Mike, 21 Savage, and rapper and entrepreneur Rasheeda. Other contributors include former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, former music executive Shanti Das, and So So Def Recordings CEO Jermaine Dupri. This 82-minute American production was released on March 12, 2024.
