Short description
An FBI special agent and the Albuquerque police department hunt for a serial killer nicknamed The Bone Collector. The chief of police and one of his officers, however, believe someone in the department may be the killer.

- The film's plot is inspired by real events.
- The screenplay is based on the story of the so-called murders on the "West Mesa" heights in the state of New Mexico. It concerns a series of murders of girls and women, whose remains were discovered in the desert in 2009. Several people were suspected, but no one was arrested, and no charges were filed. Initially, it was assumed that this was the work of a serial killer, but later, the involvement of human traffickers was suspected.
