The Last Front

Set in a Belgian village at the start of World War I, The Last Front follows Leonard Lambert as he attempts to protect his family and community from invading German forces. When a sadistic officer begins terrorizing the locals, Leonard is forced to abandon his peaceful life as a farmer to lead a resistance movement. The conflict is deepened by the relationship between Leonard's son, Adrien, and Louise, a local woman from a higher social class.

Directed by Julien Kerknawi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Kate Wood, the film stars Iain Glen as Leonard and Sasha Luss as Louise. The supporting cast includes Anna Madeley, Joe Anderson, David Calder, and Koen De Bouw.
