A Hipster in Rural Spain

Quique is sent to a village in Teruel, located in the rural interior of Spain, to manage local revitalization efforts. While struggling to implement modern ideas among residents who are skeptical of his approach, he discovers that his assignment was a ruse. His party leader and his girlfriend conspired to send him away so they could spend time together. In this environment, Quique finds an unlikely ally in Lourdes, a local bartender who encourages him to listen to the community to avoid further failure.

This comedy was directed by Emilio Martínez Lázaro and marks the fifth film in his directorial career, following his previous work on Sus años dorados, Backroads, Spanish Affair, and Spanish Affair 2. The screenplay was written by Daniel Castro and produced by Gonzalo Salazar-Simpson through Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lazonafilms. The film stars Lalo Tenorio in the lead role, alongside Berta Vázquez, Paco León, Macarena García, Rober Bodegas, and Tito Valverde.
