A struggling musician comes back to his family home on the day his younger brother's film is premiering. His plan is to take his brother's computer and sell it to photographers. What begins as a scheme built on envy and resentment plays out over a single day, as the two brothers and the people around them are drawn into the consequences of his decision.
Shadow Brother Sunday is a short American drama running fifteen minutes, released in March 2024. It was directed and written by Alden Ehrenreich, produced by Natalie Metzger, and made by Vanishing Angle, DeGenz and The Huron Substation. Ehrenreich also plays Cole, the musician at the centre of the story, while Nick Robinson plays his brother Jacob. The supporting cast includes Lisa Edelstein as Sandra, Nick Searcy as Bob, Jacob Wysocki as Marshall the Photographer and Elizabeth Guest as Lindsay. For Ehrenreich, the film is an early step behind the camera rather than a project built on a long directing career.
