Wicker Park

Matthew, a young professional in Chicago, is about to leave on an important business trip when he catches sight of Lisa, the woman he once loved, coming out of a restaurant. She had vanished from his life two years earlier without a word, and the glimpse of her throws his plans aside. He begins searching for her, following traces and clues through the city, and along the way he meets another woman who is also named Lisa and who may hold part of the answer. His fixation draws him into a tangle of deception and suspicion.

Wicker Park was released in 2004 and runs 115 minutes. Paul McGuigan directed it from a screenplay by Brandon Boyce; it is the third of the eight features McGuigan has directed, arriving between Gangster No. 1 and The Reckoning. Josh Hartnett plays Matthew, with Diane Kruger as Lisa, Rose Byrne as Alex, Matthew Lillard as Luke, Christopher Cousins as Daniel and Jessica Paré as Rebecca. Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Marcus Viscidi produced for Lakeshore Entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. It is a Chicago-set drama that mixes romance, mystery and thriller elements, with a credited cast of 32 and a crew of 101.

Made for about 30 million dollars, the film took in roughly 22 million worldwide, less than its budget. On IMDb it holds 6.9 from about 61,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.8 from around 765. A critics' rating of 4.5 from 134 reviews puts professional opinion well below the audience scores.
