Babylon 5: The Road Home is an animated science fiction adventure that continues the story of John Sheridan, the station commander turned president of the Interstellar Alliance. As he prepares to take up his new responsibilities, Sheridan is suddenly pulled through a series of timelines and alternate realities. Stranded far from everything he knows, he sets out to find his way back, encountering familiar figures along the way and learning things about the universe's history and purpose that he had never suspected.
The film is directed by Matt Peters, whose earlier work consists largely of animated DC projects, including Justice League Dark: Apokolips War and Injustice. It was written by J. Michael Straczynski, the creator of the original television series, and features several actors from that series returning to voice their characters, among them Bruce Boxleitner as Sheridan, Claudia Christian as Susan Ivanova, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari, Bill Mumy as Lennier, Tracy Scoggins as Elizabeth Lochley and Patricia Tallman as Lyta Alexander. Warner Bros. Animation produced it, and it runs eighty minutes.
Released in August 2023, the film met with a modest response. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.6 from roughly 1,900 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.1 from about a hundred votes. The two scores are close enough to suggest a generally favourable but not enthusiastic reception among those who sought it out.
