Green Border

Set in the swampy forests of the border between Poland and Belarus, this drama explores a geopolitical crisis where migrants from Africa and the Middle East are lured by propaganda promising easy entry into the European Union. The story follows the intersecting lives of a Syrian family, a young border guard named Jan, and Julia, an activist who left a comfortable life to help those trapped in the region.

The film was directed by Agnieszka Holland, who also served as a producer and co-writer. It follows her previous work such as Mr. Jones and Charlatan, and precedes her 2025 film, Franz.
