Shark Beach with Anthony Mackie

This documentary follows actor Anthony Mackie in his hometown of New Orleans, exploring his lifelong connection to boating and fishing. Mackie aims to resolve the conflict between local coastal communities and sharks in the Gulf of Mexico. To understand these apex predators and find a way for humans and sharks to coexist, he works with a team of experts and utilizes scientific tools. During the film, he swims with silky and sandbar sharks and tags a seven-foot bull shark.

Produced by National Geographic, the film was directed by Matthew Kay.
