Power of the Dream

This documentary tells the true story of professional women's basketball players who challenged a WNBA team owner. The athletes aligned themselves with Raphael Warnock, then a little-known reverend, to support his senatorial campaign. This collaboration aimed to influence the political direction of the United States and transform the role of their sport in society.

Directed by Dawn Porter, this was the second of four films she released between 2024 and 2026. The production was a collaboration between Trilogy Films, Industrial Media, Joy Mill Entertainment, and Togethxr, with Porter, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Sue Bird serving as producers. The film features appearances by the athletes and figures themselves, including Sue Bird, Jemele Hill, Nneka Ogwumike, Holly Rowe, Angel McCoughtry, and Layshia Clarendon. The movie was released on June 13, 2024, with a total runtime of 93 minutes.
