High & Low – John Galliano

This documentary follows the professional journey of John Galliano, a prominent figure in high fashion during the 1990s and 2000s. It examines his rise as the creative director of Christian Dior and his subsequent fall from grace in 2011. The central conflict focuses on the moment Galliano was filmed in Paris using racist and antisemitic language toward others while intoxicated, leading to his immediate firing and a long period of professional isolation before his gradual return to the industry in 2024.

Directed by Kevin Macdonald, this project is the 10th of 13 films in his career, following The Mauritanian and preceding Klitschko: More than a Fight. Macdonald also served as a producer alongside Chloe Mamelok. The film features appearances by Galliano himself, as well as Naomi Campbell, Penélope Cruz, Anna Wintour, Edward Enninful, and Charlize Theron. A co-production between the United Kingdom, United States, and France, the film was produced by TF1 Studio, Condé Nast Entertainment, Newen Connect, and KGB Films.
