Lee Byeong-gu is convinced that aliens from the Andromeda galaxy are already on Earth, disguised as ordinary people, and are preparing a full takeover timed to an approaching lunar eclipse. To stop the invasion, he needs to arrange a meeting with the Andromedan prince, and he believes the way to do that is through one of their earthly agents. His target is Kang Man-shik, the president of a pharmaceutical company, whom he abducts and holds in a basement that doubles as a makeshift film studio and interrogation room. With help from his girlfriend Su-ni, Byeong-gu films his attempts to force a confession out of his captive, who insists he is not an alien at all. Elsewhere, a discredited inspector and a younger colleague pursue the case on their own.
The film is the debut feature of South Korean director Jang Joon-hwan, who also wrote the screenplay. It was released in 2003 and runs 117 minutes, mixing comedy, crime, drama and science fiction. Shin Ha-kyun plays Byeong-gu, Baek Yoon-sik plays Kang Man-shik, and Hwang Jeong-min plays Su-ni, with Lee Jae-yong, Lee Joo-hyun and Ki Joo-bong among the supporting cast.
Made for about 3 million USD, the film received a critics' rating of 7.4/10 from 44 reviews. On IMDb it holds 7.1/10 from 11,830 votes, and on TMDB 7/10 from 255 votes. Jang went on to direct Hwayi: A Monster Boy in 2013 and 1987: When the Day Comes in 2017.
