Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy

Kim Dok-ja is an office worker and the sole reader of an obscure web novel about the end of the world. When the events of the story unexpectedly manifest in reality, he finds himself in an apocalyptical landscape. Because he is the only person who knows the plot and the eventual conclusion, he uses this knowledge to navigate the dangers alongside the novel's protagonist, Yu Jung-hyeok. Together with a group of companions, he attempts to alter the predetermined fate of the world and create a different ending.

Directed by Kim Byung-woo, this South Korean production follows his previous works, The Terror Live and Take Point, and precedes The Great Flood. The film features a cast including Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, and Kwon Eun-seong.

The movie earned 9 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is mixed, with a rating of 5.9/10 on IMDb from over 12,000 votes and a higher score of 7.1/10 on TMDB based on 110 votes. These viewer scores are generally higher than the film critics' rating of 4.8/10.
