Lumberjack the Monster

Ninomiya is a cold and calculated lawyer who describes himself as a psychopath. After surviving an attack by a serial killer armed with an axe, he becomes obsessed with finding and stopping the assailant who has targeted him.

Directed by Takashi Miike, this crime horror thriller is the 36th of 42 films in his career, following Police x Heroine Lovepatrina! Movie Version and preceding Midnight. The production was a collaboration between Japan and Hong Kong, involving companies such as Warner Bros. Japan. The film stars Kazuya Kamenashi as Akira Ninomiya, alongside Nanao, Riho Yoshioka, Kiyohiko Shibukawa, Shota Sometani, and Shido Nakamura, with a screenplay written by Hiroyoshi Koiwai.
