Set in Barcelona during the late 1960s, this drama follows Eugenio, a young jeweler who falls in love with a singer named Conchita. To support her during her musical performances, Eugenio teaches himself to play the guitar. However, he must first find a way to overcome his intense fear of performing in front of an audience.

Directed by David Trueba, the film is the second in a chronological sequence of his directed works, following Madrid, 1987. The screenplay was written by Trueba and Albert Espinosa. The movie stars David Verdaguer as Eugenio and Carolina Yuste as Conchita, supported by a credited cast of 65 performers including César Tormo, Francesc Ferrer, Sigfrid Monleón, and Candela Serrat. The project was produced by Atresmedia, Ikiru Films, and La Terraza Films.
