The Scammers

Set on a small island in Brittany, this comedy follows two lifelong friends who discover that a local resident won the national lottery but died before claiming the prize. Finding the winning ticket with the deceased man, they devise a complex scheme to impersonate the winner. To successfully deceive the lottery company and secure the money, they recruit the help of their fellow villagers.

The film was directed by Hervé Mimran, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Igor and William Gotesman. This production follows Mimran's 2010 film, All That Glitters. The cast features Gérard Darmon as Henri and Didier Bourdon as Jean-Jean, alongside Chantal Lauby, Paloma Coquant, Laurent Capelluto, and Yoann Eloundou Noah. Produced in France by StudioCanal, M6 Films, Zazi Films, and Five Dogs, the movie has a runtime of 89 minutes.
