In the college town of Silvercreek, Pennsylvania, a local legend speaks of a supernatural entity that kills those who are unfaithful to their partners. While many dismiss this as a myth, a high rate of suicides leads residents and students to suspect a darker reality. After Maeve, a student, begins an affair with Charlie, a married man in the home where she is staying, the pair believe they are targeted by this curse. They team up with a history student to find a way to protect themselves, but a series of rapid, violent deaths forces the remaining survivors to fight back against the creature.
