This Mexican documentary follows Africa, a trans woman who builds a large audience on Facebook through live broadcasts focused on comedy and music. As she shares her daily routine with her viewers, she works on a special program to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the death of her close friend, Vicenta de Loris.
Directed and written by Salvador Santana II, the 16-minute film features África Michel appearing as herself, alongside Guadalupe Rodriguez and Martha Sarai. The production was a collaborative effort between Ateya Films, the Secretaría de Cultura de Guerrero, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and the Escuela Nacional De Artes Cinematográficas. It was released on July 27, 2023.
