Stéphane Marchadot is a Paris stockbroker preparing to marry Charlotte, but he first needs to settle his divorce from Patricia, the wife who left him years earlier. He travels to the Amazon, where he finds her living in a remote village, and learns that she raised the son he never knew he had. The boy, Mimi-Siku, is eager to see Paris, and Stéphane agrees to bring him back for a short stay. Once there, the child's jungle habits clash with modern city life.
Hervé Palud directed and co-wrote this 1994 French adventure comedy with Jean-Marie Pallardy. Thierry Lhermitte, who also produced, plays Stéphane, with Patrick Timsit as Richard Montignac, Ludwig Briand as Mimi-Siku, Miou-Miou as Patricia, Arielle Dombasle as Charlotte and Sonia Vollereaux as Marie Montignac. The film runs 90 minutes.
Released in December 1994, it is a broad culture-clash comedy of its era, with a credited cast of 33. On IMDb it holds 5.7 out of 10 from around 5,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6 out of 10 from 652 votes, suggesting modest, mixed audience approval rather than strong enthusiasm.
