Baby Cat

Dana has just moved into a new apartment, and she becomes attached to the cat that lives in the building. What she does not realise is that the animal is not really a cat at all, but a grown woman wearing a costume. The confusion at the heart of that relationship drives a story that mixes comedy and romance with crime.

Baby Cat is a 2023 American film directed by Scott Hillman, who also wrote the screenplay. It followed his earlier directorial effort Bikini Hackers, released the same year, and came before Blue Belt in 2024. The film was produced by Nicole D'Angelo, Chris Spinelli and Gregory Hatanaka for Cinema Epoch and CineRidge Entertainment, and runs 88 minutes. Natalie Cotter plays Dana Masters, with Fawn Winters taking the roles of the Cat, the Bear and Sgt. Lori Levy. The cast of 23 credited performers also includes Sharon Marr, Socks Whitmore, Christopher Sandberg and Bogdan Szumilas.

Released on 29 July 2023, the film belongs to a run of low-budget independent productions from the same creative team, with a premise built around the mismatch between how Dana sees the cat and what the cat actually is.
