Short description
Leslie Zevo is a fun-loving inventor who must save his late father's toy factory from his evil uncle, Leland, a war-mongering general who rules the operation with an iron fist and builds weapons disguised as toys.

What's left behind the scenes

  • In 1992, the film was nominated for the 15th Annual Hastings Bad Film Society Awards in the “worst film” category.
  • The blue car driven by Leslie is a very rare Muntz Jet. Fewer than 400 copies were produced.
  • The scene where Leslie delivers a speech to the troops was improvised from beginning to end.
  • It took art director Ferdinando Scarfiotto over a year to create the lavish sets for the film. The sets occupied all the soundstages at Fox Studios in Los Angeles.
  • Director Barry Levinson spent over 10 years developing the film's concept. Filming took 10 months.
