The Visitor

Set in modern London, this comedy follows a wealthy family who takes in a mysterious refugee after he washes up naked in a suitcase by the Thames. Employed by the household, the sexually fluid stranger engages in explicit encounters with every family member. These interactions challenge their bourgeois identities and force them to redefine themselves before the stranger abruptly departs, leaving the family shaken but sexually liberated.

The film was directed by Canadian filmmaker Bruce LaBruce, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Victor Fraga and Alex Babboni. In the chronological order of his work, this project follows Défense de fumer and precedes Egg. The cast features Bishop Black in the title role, alongside Amy Kingsmill, Macklin Kowal, Ray Filar, Kurtis Lincoln, and Luca Federici.
