Heartbeat

Heartbeat is a Mexican drama centered on the strained relationship between Leonor, a wealthy woman who has recently separated from her partner, and Emilia, a sixteen-year-old aspiring ballerina. The two women reside together in a secluded country house, isolated from society, as they wait for Emilia to give birth. Their coexistence is marked by tension and a significant difference in social standing.

Written and directed by Katina Medina Mora, the film follows her 2013 project Lu-To. Medina Mora also served as a producer alongside Inna Payán and Luis Salinas for the production by Animal de Luz Films. The movie stars Marina de Tavira as Leonor and Camila Calónico as Emilia, with supporting roles played by Vicky Araico, Fernando Becerril, Juan Manuel Bernal, and Juan Carlos Colombo. A total of 28 cast members are credited in the 93-minute production.
