Compass

Two former friends, Kas and Maartje, reunite on the Dutch coast after seven years apart. While they once balanced each other's differences, they have since evolved into contrasting personalities. Maartje is now a spontaneous and hedonistic individual with clear goals, whereas Kas relies on predictability and familiarity for emotional support. As Kas realizes their old dynamic no longer functions as it did in their youth, she struggles with whether to cling to the past or develop a different kind of connection with her friend.

This drama was written and directed by Luca Larsen. It is the second film in Larsen's directorial career, following the 2022 release Post Mortem. The short film has a runtime of 21 minutes and features Robin Copier in the role of Kas and Ilse Postma as Maartje.
