The House of Looks

The House of Looks is an Italian drama centered on Marco, a twenty-year-old poet who struggles with deep existential anxiety and a heightened sensitivity to the suffering of others. To escape his inner turmoil and the void left by his late mother, he relies on alcohol and drugs to reach a state of unconsciousness. This self-destructive path has alienated him from his friends and girlfriend, while his father struggles to support him. The main conflict arises when Marco begins working for a cleaning cooperative at the Bambin Gesù Hospital, where he fears that interacting with sick children will be emotionally overwhelming.
