Romería

An eighteen-year-old woman named Marina travels to the Atlantic coast of Spain to find her biological father's relatives. Her goal is to obtain official documents needed for university and scholarship applications. Using her mother's diary as a guide, she meets a wide circle of aunts, uncles, and cousins she has never known. As Marina tries to piece together the story of her parents' relationship, she encounters contradictory accounts and family secrets. Her arrival forces her relatives to confront a painful past involving drug use and the death of her parents.

The drama was written and directed by Carla Simón, following her 2022 film Alcarràs and preceding Flamenco, released in 2026. The movie stars Llúcia Garcia in the lead role as Marina, alongside Mitch, Tristán Ulloa, Celine Tyll, León Romagosa, and Hans Romagosa. A total of 22 cast members and 40 crew members are credited.
