Riviera Revenge

Riviera Revenge is a French comedy about François Marsault, a retired high-ranking officer who maintains a strict and authoritarian hold over his family. After fifty years of marriage to his wife, Annie, François discovers that she had an affair four decades earlier. Seeking to reclaim his honor, he files for divorce and travels to the French Riviera to confront Boris, the former lover. While François is driven by a desire for revenge, Annie finds herself enjoying the trip and the company of her old acquaintance.

The film was written and directed by Ivan Calbérac, following his previous works The Student and Mister Henri and The Tasting. It is one of two films he released in 2024, alongside Un homme de principe. The movie stars André Dussollier as François, Sabine Azéma as Annie, and Thierry Lhermitte as Boris, with supporting roles played by Joséphine de Meaux, Sébastien Chassagne, and Michel Boujenah.

Produced by Wild Bunch, France 3 Cinéma, Nac Films, and Mizar Films, the project had a budget of 5 million USD and earned 6 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is moderate, with a rating of 5.9/10 on IMDb based on 730 votes and a score of 6/10 on TMDB from 96 votes.
