Spare Queens

Spare Queens is a sports drama centered on two retired female bowlers. The story uses the difficult 7-10 split as a metaphor for the long-standing rivalry between the two women and their attempt to fix mistakes from their past. Through their competition, the film highlights the strength, timing, and composure required to succeed in the sport.

The film was produced in Hong Kong by the Film Development Fund of HK and marks the directorial debut of Tom Chung-sing, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Lee Po-chi. The production team previously worked on the 2024 film Love Lies. This drama has a runtime of 92 minutes.
